what do they get by supporting russia? would love some data

The US funded wars in Afghanistan and Iraq for 20 years with no idea what the next move was, no tangible end in sight, and stakes far lower. The so-called threat of weapons of mass destruction was enough to swiftly defeat Iraq's army, topple its government, and start an unprecedented manhunt for its leader.

Russia has invaded a neighboring country twice and spent the first two years of the war they started threatening nuclear weapons. They disregard all negotiated agreements and treaties, poison dissidents in countries the US is allied with, with impunity, engage in asymmetric warfare against Europe and the US, meddle in elections. The Russian government has nothing but contempt for a rules based world order.

Why, suddenly, is the US cowering back when the stakes are much higher and its direct involvement much lower?

The winds of politics change. People can, and will be, convinced as reality smacks them. It takes longer than expected but reality can never be perpetually denied by everyone.

The key for now is for Democrats to avoid the blame of the obvious problems coming up. Democrats cannot afford to be blamed by the upcoming Government Debt, Funding, Tax changes or possible shutdown.

Protests run the risk of drawing attention back to the Democrats and rallying MAGA to a shared enemy. I don't think that works. It seems like a reasonable political strategy to see how far Trump's team is willing to wreck the economy on their own.

The goal is to have MAGA split. We all know they have a different set of ideologies and are only unified in their hate of liberals.

As the debt balloons due to tax cuts, as Ukraine falls due to Trump's clearance, as TechBros cozy up to China and as wealth transfers to Bitcoin in the largest display of corruption of recent years, people will notice that MAGAs biggest enemies are fellow MAGAs.

You are not passing the algorithm because you are not supposed to pass it. If you are going to be just blindly sending your resume to the system, nobody will ever reply to you.

What you do: 1. Find a company you want to join with an open position. 2. Create a profile on LinkedIn and nicely fill your profile. 3. Find a recruiter that works for this specific company and send them a direct message.

This needs to be a recruiter working directly for this company. You need to approach them and ask for an interview.

Companies have multiple recruiters so if one recruiter is not responding, you can contact another.

This way you will skip the algorithm.

And if you can't find a recruiter, there will be definitely an engineering manager you can contact. That works sometimes too.

I used this method about a year ago and was successful 9 out of 10 times.

I also tried blindly sending my resume about 5 years ago and got a reply only for 1 out of 100 applications.
