My snap folder only has chromium in it. Like probably most users who don't (and shouldn't) care about snaps.

The snap drama is a ideological purity contest by people who should know better (aka use something else than Ubuntu if that pisses them off that much).

You're a publisher as soon as you put an infrastructure for users to put stuff on the net. Curating or not doesn't matter.

Disclosure: personal opinion, ianal.

In this case would you consider the telephone company a publisher too?

No. I can't publish stuff on their website. They "sell" me the use of the "pipes", not what i do with it.

What about Signal / Whatsapp? What about Matrix / Discord / Slack? Looking for the line you'd like to draw.

Are they physically providing the internet connection? No? Then they're not common carriers and they should have 230 protections.

In one sense yes, but not the one that matters here.

As i said, ianal and it's my own personal opinion. Others here have better expressed my views on the subject. Disruption is not always a good thing. Especially when it has large societal impacts.

If you opinion is about one of the technical meanings of the word publish outside of the reading of the law then your opinion the law.

So yes you're right, but it's not relevant to section 230 at all.

Also, everyone knows that hexagons are the real bestagons.

No one wants 255556 notifications/news per day.

RSS has nothing to do with notifications. In many ways it is actually the antithesis to them.

I'm not sure you're familiar with RSS. By default, you don't receive notifications for each item, nor do you have to explicitly mark them as read or scroll through their contents.

Firefox has demons of its own on this subject. Evangelism for it which basically is "it's not google" is getting more and more tired.

This is false equivalence. The size and number of demons are relevant.

Doping in descents is mostly removing fear/calmly handling high risks situations. Doping with EPO and the likes won't help.

Look into bikes with 650b wheels for this.

Pay attention to BB height, specifically. That'll dictate ground clearance and comfortable saddle height. 650B wheels are often fitted with bigger tires, and can have the same effective diameter as 700C wheels with smaller tires (depending on specific tire size).

This is correct. I was in a hurry and didn't explain at length as i should have.

Normal line workers mostly take a plane for vacation or family reasons. Specialized workers, i'll give you that, but it's way less than you imply.

Who do you think is filling the hundreds of economy seats on flights between regular cities? It isn't holiday makers, and it isn't executives. It's normal people like you and me trying to get around for work.

It's not. In fact, this initiative is laughed at by most people here (in QC) as it is mostly exactly the same thing that "La toile du Québec" was 20 years ago. The government (and a few not very liked but well connected people) thaught it would be a way for people to get infos and to buy local. It's not very good.

The parent just wants to brightly shine his anti-quebec bias.

Also, the guy clearly makes the sentences in his head in English and then translate them. Everybody does it. It's just blatant. Fluency makes it go away.

Source: Am a quebecer (fr). I do it mostly when i speak English.
