I also have ebooks. However, maybe it's because I grew up reading books, I can't imagine myself not reading a real one. There's this amazing feeling whenever I get a book, especially a used one.

I sort of expected this reply, needless to say I'm not surprised. I compiled the list just so people will know, if they go after this thread, then they're sickening.
I tried looking that up, as of typing, they have not yet issued any statement. So I think they're still good. However, it must be remembered that Rapidshare has had some issues as well too.
Rapidshare has already been involved in numerous lawsuits in Germany and I believe have come out on top on the important ones.
This I think is what Google is doing. The more Facebook opens up, the better for them. And it's working fine, I guess. Since when users switched to the timeline format, some of them had their privacy set to public.
Supposedly, if your hard drive is encrypted, customs agents can hold your computer indefinitely if you refuse to provide the password. The irony is that gigabytes of encrypted data cross national borders every second -- over the internet. So dump your important data in an encrypted file and put it on a file sharing web site, or a VPS, or whatever, and download it again when you get across the border. Nobody with "interesting" data (and half a brain) will be physically bringing it across a border. The searches are useless.
