I guess I'm one of those people who don't get pocketknives, in the sense of whenever I am at home/office/restaurant/bar/cinema/friend's place, there is either no need for a knife or one is available around. Would you say my lifestyle doesn't require a pocket knife or am I missing on something. (It's a genuine question, I hope my writing doesn't carry any unintended negative tone).
It depends on your lifestyle. I always keep a Swiss Army knife in my bag (not in my pocket, it's too heavy). There are weeks I have no need of it, and then it comes a day I'm grateful to myself I have it. Most of the time I need to open something quickly, from a small package to a bottle of wine.
I guess I was also guilty of jumping to stereotypes. But looking at OP instagram, it looks like he/she is a woodworker. So I guess it's pretty reasonable he's taking a knife with him (and being picky about it too).
Oh man, I've been carrying a pocket knife since 10th grade (pretty sure any statute of limitations has expired on that...). The first Dragonfly was my 18th birthday present to myself. I am now somewhat older and have only been in woodworking seriously for a 5ish years.
Mostly I like not having to go looking for a knife when I need one. In most situations there's one around somewhere, but if it's in my pocket, I don't have to interrupt what I'm doing to find it. Context switches and all that.
It's look really slick! One thing that isn't clear to me though is whether it's possible to update an event and send update notifications/email/whatever to attendees?
The answer is YES! After editing/updating your invitation, you can tick a box to send email updates to anyone sign-up to the event and everyone invited through the platform.
I can't be the only person not super happy about node being forced on you all the time.
Granted, this looks like a labor of love, and the developer has the right to do whatever the hell they want with it, but I am willing to bet that the people that care about bash and bash scripting and the people that use node, have a not enormous overlap.
If you can recommend any bash package I will share it there also. I write a lot on js, so actually it will be easy to write npm package and share it. Besides, if you know how to made similar packages (I mean console utility) for other package managers, such as pip, gem or whatever else, I'll be very glad to merge and share it.
