An Ireland focused project on the frontpage - delightful!

For my workplace, I built an internal orgchart and the backend is entirely Google Sheets. It's been completely hassle free and I've spent almost no time on the code since building it three years ago. As employees join and leave, HR adds/deletes a row in the sheet and only they have access to the "database" besides myself. In case of accidental deletion, there's the handy restore ability built into sheets so a database "rollback" is also trivial and can be done by HR without my input.

Sheets as a database for light web apps is absolutely joyful to build with.

My "dumb" solution here is that I've plugged all peripherals into a dock. I have a cable go from my dock to my Macbook or desktop. I have to physically replug every time but it's just the one cable for charging + data transfer so it is simple enough

I made something very similar for our company's internal directory. HR is used to maintaining Google Sheets and fit really well into their workflow

It's not the default browser on most devices. I think the parent comment is stating that if you're technical enough to install a 3rd party browser, you're technical enough to pick your own search engine. So people chose Firefox and chose away from Yahoo

I've been using the "Modern for Wikipedia" chrome extension for a while and it seems like they Wikipedia team has borrowed a lot of ideas from the extension. I still prefer the extension since you can change the theme away from bright white. Great changes overall.

I've been getting multiple of these per day. Nearly identical to one another, super spammy text and from obvious low quality email addresses. Reporting them as spam diligently doesn't seem to do improve anything.
