Hi HN,
Beatable started from a personal frustration I had as a founder. Every project begins with an idea, but dreaming is not enough. Before building anything, you need to understand the market, know your competitors, define a strategy, and share your idea to get real feedback.
At first I tried to use ChatGPT to validate ideas, but it quickly became too manual and scattered. I had to prompt it several times, fact-check results, and combine different outputs before getting something coherent. That process made me realize how inefficient it was to rely only on generic AI tools for structured business validation.
So I built Beatable, an AI system that organizes this process automatically. You describe your idea, and it performs competitor research, market sizing, SWOT analysis, and strategic recommendations, all in a few minutes. It’s not meant to replace your intuition, but to help you see your idea through a more objective and data-driven lens.
I’m now opening it to other founders who face the same challenge and would love your feedback. Does this kind of tool sound genuinely useful to you? What would make it more effective or trustworthy?
I recognized a pattern I’ve often seen in large tech orgs: the way formal processes, while frustratingly inefficient day to day, are what actually make scale and big enterprise deals possible. Framing it through Scott’s legible/illegible lens helped me make sense of why that overhead never really goes away.
Interesting. Is there a way to adapt this for Linux or Windows? Many users, not just Mac users, face issues with USB-C cables. Practical cross-platform tools could be very helpful.
Great idea! Do you plan to integrate with other services? I'm looking for similar solutions to collect feedback and improve my product. Are you already getting feedback from the community?
Got a lot of feedback here so far, plenty to keep me busy. And there will be an import API to let scripts/programs push data to Timelinize, even if it doesn't support those data sources built-in.
