with something like github copilot coding agent it's really not, the environment setup is just like github actions

> review it all (this is a given)

that's great but that's not what vibe coding is though

why not crypto? stablecoins could be a credible answer to this problem

Not with the new acts passed this last week. Only established players are in that space now (Also - this is going to get way worse now with fees devaluing the dollar that are now invisible to the average consumer).

Which acts are you referring to? Care to elaborate?

are you arguing against regulation? with the new act, there is a clear definition of stablecoins and disclosure requirements that are better for consumers than the current "trust me bro" stablecoins like USDT

The US fairly typically has electric stoves. Natural gas stoves are going to be the second most common form of cooking.

In the countries the OP is talking about, people cook over literal fires and fire pits (sometimes enclosed). Even when that happens in the US, unless you are talking about camping, you are likely talking about something like a well vented wood stove or wood stove oven like my grandma had.

An example of what I'm talking about: https://unfccc.int/climate-action/momentum-for-change/financ...

And here's what wood fired stoves look like in the US even 100 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XcuznPQjLs

how actionable is the result? let's say you do detect trace amounts of tumoral DNA in your blood, what can you do? can you prevent it from developing into a full-on tumor if you don't even know where it is?

I imagine the signature isn't simply binary but with several dimensions of differentiation?

do you also inspect binary installers?

if you don't price carbon, then emitting carbon is free (you just priced it at $0)

We simply don't have the market mechanisms to price carbon in any rational sense. Certainly not internationally.

If you mean across borders, than the EU CBAM is already driving the installation of renewables in countries outside the EU in advance of being priced next year.

related, less ship activity during COVID meant fewer pollutants and so more warming: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/article/2024/may/30/...

the point of the article is that the effect was short lived, and we're living through the spike in temperature

everything we do is climate engineering, just not the deliberate kind
