“During the exercise, [one]… ODA team identified a target building and used a remote access device (RAD) to identify the networks coming from the facility. They were able to crack the WiFi password, enumerate the network, and run exploits on the target computer inside the building,” according to an official Army news item. “This enabled the team to manipulate security cameras, door locks, and other security systems in the building.”

"Earlier today, in federal court in Brooklyn, an indictment was unsealed charging Eliahou Paldiel and Carlos Arturo Suarez Palacios (Suarez) with wire fraud and money laundering conspiracies relating to a wide-ranging scheme in which the defendants sold hacked smartphones and fraudulent applications to more than 800 rideshare drivers (Driver Co-conspirators). The applications enabled the Driver Co-conspirators to “spoof” GPS locations to fraudulently obtain “surge” fees and to otherwise manipulate legitimate rideshare applications to enrich themselves to the detriment of riders, law-abiding drivers and rideshare companies. If convicted, the defendants face up to 20 years in prison on each of the two counts."

Wow! I thought Screwber was going to be HookerMobile or something...

20 years is big. Funny how Uber execs didnt get anything like that for all the PII HIPAA violations and those other lawsuits against them - I cant recall the story, but something about a female eng and sex alegations...

But hack the payment, and get 20 years.

You used to be able to Google for transaction information from a particular e commerce shopping cart and get .txts of credit card info, name, address. The wild west was wild.

I thought the same thing. It's unfortunate because the linked article is fine but I can't share it because of all of the other wacky nonsense.

I always talk about my time traveling and riding trains and going to antarctica in interviews. Most of the time it breaks up the monotonous interview process and allows me to stand out in the crowd.

Anyone with time travel experience should have no problem getting a job :)

I think it means you're dialed in just right.

My company wanted me to use the intuit TSheets app for clock in/out. This would do a similar thing with geofencing but would also notify me during times I wasn't at work that it was generating a geofence for my current location even though I wasn't even clocked in.

Told my manager I simply wouldn't use it and why and he gave me permission to use the webapp on the company issued laptops.

Last thing I need is my manager seeing me traversing the city drunk at 2am or whatever. I'm not on their time so whatever I'm doing is none of their business.

This was my thought as well. Plus this particular dc is massive and would require an absurd amount of c4 to destroy.

He had both a flower on his hand and the letters tattooed on his knuckles. Know More isn't a particularly common knuckle tattoo and to also have the same style of flower on the hand is definitely suspect.

Even that type of flower as a hand tattoo isn't very common.

Agreed. Given every single other (less specific) detail that was copied, yea... right the tattoos were probably a coincidence.

I wouldn't know how common it is, it just looked somewhat cliche to me, so I figured it wouldn't be rare. Like stickers on a mac book.

Somebody should create a registry where people can lay claim to their tattoo's originality. Add blockchain, call it TATS, instant hit.

Shit, make em NFTs and make a fortune.

Any plans to sell kits for us suckers who don't have 3d printers? I'd buy one right now.
