Including a curiously unprecedented occurrence in all of the swing states.

> the only remaining use case for me is a gaming PC

Amiga users have been here before.

Manna keeps coming to mind for me as well.

It feels like UBI is (at best) likely to become as complicated and corrupt as our tax system already is.

The more you have, the more you have to suffer from.

I guess I’m lucky I don’t have an HOA.

As usual, the very wealthy won’t care, and the middle class and small business owners will be crushed. I bet private equity will get some great deals on small landscaping companies.

The 'con' in con-man is short for 'confidence'.

People mistake confidence for having good leadership skills.

That happy feeling only lasts about six weeks.

So no, not only 6 weeks

My 14" portable CRT I had when I was a teenager gave me joy every time I used it. My first car cost me less than 2k and gave me joy for 5 years.

You are now unable to get joy from a TV smaller than the largest one you've ever bought. Many people are unable to get joy from a car costing under 10k, let alone 2k.

Back in the 90s, I could hit the Esc key and stop all of the animations, allowing my ADHD brain to regain the focus needed to read the actual article.

Well there is noscript but that breaks a ton of stuff

I'm not seeing it. If crypto has a resurgence, it will only be because wealthy people invest in it to enable shady behavior.

Do this before you reach your 40s, because ageism will put a damper on your disposable income.

I once had plans like this...
