Notice also how you can clearly see which window is selected, and which item within that window is selected. Microsoft has just lost the plot.

“Liquid A**”? It’s right there!

I prefer “Glarse”

In this thread, we have found all the programmers born before 1975!

Hey, some of us are younger and happened to get into programming via making games on their TI-83 graphing calculator in Z80!

Aztec C had both native and interpreted code generation, back in the day.

“Terrible, horrible, no good” is the new “considered harmful.”

"Mind-bogglingly poorly thought out to the degree of a cynical money-grubbing scheme worthy of the finest cambodian slave camp" was taken and is disrespectful to the hard work and education of said slave camp's operators.

Additionally, their distributions were different. People who read Dijkstra circa 1968 started using the phrase in their own publications within a decade, whereas people who read Viorst (or had it read to them) in 1972 and following years had at least a few decades of further delay before publishing anything using the corresponding phrase.

The “Guides We Love” feature in Apple Maps is my a great example of this. When I first saw it I was appalled by its complete uselessness. It’s hard to understand how an Apple team could have created and actually shipped such a waste of space.

Edit: deleted a couple of company references that weren’t needed to make my point.

I googled Taboola and Outbrain. I bet you used 'Taboola or Outbrain' in the pejorative but I can't tell exactly what's wrong with the two companies lol.
