These people?
Are you referring to people in the current Norwegian government?
Or do you generalize Norwegians (including people from the past) to have a single mindset like a racist would do?
I am talking about the Norwegian government post-1945 which included people who participated in a genocide of the actual real kind.
I am also talking about the responsibility of such a nation whose entire state apparatus is successor to that government
That's why I think the Norwegians should look at their recent history to understand the difference between genocide and war, and invest their partially stolen money accordingly
I partially agree with you: European countries other than Germany bear some responsibility for the Holocaust, to agree greater than what most modern Europeans are willing to admit.
I don't know about Norway specifically, but certainly it's silly when some modern French people claim "well actually, Vichy was an illegal regime, so this wasn't our ancestors' fault at all".
However, whether Norway (as a state) bears responsibility for the Holocaust is a totally separate question from whether Israel's treatment of Palestinians is justifiable, and what the present-day government of Norway should do about it.
To claim Factorio Space Age as counter example would require to show that it was as successful as DLC as it would have been as a new game.
Probably not easy to show...
I think that's impossible to prove and I don't see how it's relevant. The OP claimed that people aren't willing to pay full price unless it's a clear, separate sequel with hype around it. The devs of Factorio proved otherwise with 400k copies being sold in the first week of Space Age's release[0].
I have seen people with the same expectation drive off roads in hilly areas in europe because some turns were impossible to do at speed limit. Not sure if what you say is a legal requirement
This is because you are holding it wrong. BlueSky and Twitter and alike are algorithmic attention grabbers. They try to feed you as much controversial stuff you might react to as possible. In the fediverse, there are no recommendation algorithms yet, so you need to make sure to connect with people you are interested in proactively.
Opinions like this give rise to fascism.
You can not talk about how we want to protect children and where the boundaries are because some lunatics immediately accuse anybody of harming THE CHILDREN.
If someone is romantically into kids this is not socially accepted in most cultures, but someone merely being attracted without following up with actions does not harm any kids.
> If you let your kids run around in giant parking lots I would argue you are a bad parent.
> Ever heard of parks?
I remember being bored as hell when my parents used to take me to the city park. Many other kids thought the same, too. I couldn't wait to run around with my friends wherever else in the city afterwards. I'm thankful for my "bad parents" for letting me roam around anywhere I wanted, as was the norm back then for kids where I grew up in Europe
I'm guessing you are talking with someone who is used to life in the North American suburbs, where kids need to be driven around and most of the options for activities are indoors.
Sadly, yes. The nearest park is 5 miles from me or the mall. The buses run on the hour and will get you within 2 miles of the park. They stop running around 7pm.
