Considering the decades of wars and regime change operations and sanctions around the world, So you have a good reason why the US shouldn't be removed? There shouldn't be a Security Council to begin with, imo
Any argument I provide for Russia not on the being on the council I will also happily accept for any other country including the US. Russia is simply the latest most egregiously blatant violator. So that is a good question, why do we have a security council? Seems to be a hold-over from the cold war. Why not give every country an equal vote?
As opposed to the us who has in the last 2 decades only managed to invade and fuck up multiple sovereign nations under known false pretences and yet no one thinks they are a threat to the world just because they seem to control the overall narrative
I fully agree that too much direct and indirect international "intervention" in pursuit of influence toward their interests is not helpful to overall global peace and prosperity.
One of the issues I've noticed. I can say from first hand experience that many wealthy people and VC's use drugs fairly frequently. I'm sure most of these arrests involve poor people though. You never hear about the wealthy folks being busted for drugs.
I lived near 880 in Oakland and always had massive amounts of this super fine sticky dust. They call that 880 corridor cancer corridor. My friends who lived next door who I was renting from, their son got leukemia and they think that had something to do with it.
That sounds like a really easy thing to study. (Does living near a highway significantly increase risk of cancer?) A single anecdote like that isn't very convincing.
I usually process a bunch of vegetables in a Vitamix because I think it's better to have it with the fiber. Would this be less of a good thing than just a straight juice? I've heard the juice loan isn't great without the fiber, but I don't know.
Blending a nice way to eat some vegetables for sure.
The idea of this temporary diet is to give your body time to live off only vegetables, with limited digestion effort. Even if you don't care about digestion, it is hard to eat, even blended, enough vegetables to maintain energy/calories/body weight. Even blended, I don't think you could eat 10 lbs a day for 90 days. That's the main benefit.
Unless you have an actual major sugar problem, I wouldn't worry too much about the sugar spike from juicing. We do much worse things than that to our body. Heck, some people even drink alcohol.
Things like this would be much easier to accomplish if tech workers unionized. We don't necessarily need it for compensation, although many could benefit, but having a say in what we build is incredibly important.
We had the same kinda thing in central Ohio. It's basically the same as Marion's and others around Cinci, but the Chicago tavern style is much thinner and more cracker like. If you're ever in Chicago, my favorite is a place called My Pi in Bucktown. It's my favorite pizza of all time. I visited my hometown for the first time in about 12 years right after that and got a piece of my favorite place. It's decently thicker and more chewy.
