many of these supposed "slaves" are making $100k+ a year with affiliate links in sidebars and crap like that,

especially for gambling and illegal/unregulated gambling related stuff

eg @ /r/sportsbook /r/gambling /r/casino /r/<insert casino brand here> etc etc

because of course audience + parasite hosting (google likes to rank reddit for lots of queries)

Maybe some small minority of mods make money, and Reddit turns a blind eye.

But it's certainly not the majority, and the further back in time you go, the number gets significantly lower.

I'm still coming to terms with the fact that the internet has changed. The people who do it for money completely outcompete those who do it for passion.

meanwhile, the US gov + their buddies have access to global skype chats.

America ensures access to a whole lot more than just Skype: https://www.malwarebytes.com/blog/news/2021/12/heres-what-da...

great work OP.

Thank you!

curious post given it seems you have 4 referrering domains, and close to zero traffic or rankings [according to ahrefs tool] on the latter domain

We built a product in a 45 days, which means we really didn't want to spend weeks waiting on Google to index and rank us in the sea of 'athena' named websites. We used plausible.io to verify the unique visitors count on both domains after reaching out to users in Discord servers. Also, the domain confirmation was needed before actual targeted marketing so we don't waste much money on promoting the domain that doesn't look professional enough.

so 'daily unique visitors sky-rocketed up by 500%' means you went from 1 to 5 visitors?

no idea why you even posted such attention-seeking nonsense here, honestly.

the linkedin profile linked to in footer doesn't exist. #redflag

Weird. A possibly matching profile shows up in search for me, but upon clicking the link LinkedIn says they can't find a matching page.

"wank yourself from a hidden hole in you pocket" <- whaat.

Are u saying "There's an app for that"?

"I'd love your feedback on the tool's usefulness"

useless junk.

seems like a thinly veiled advert for a ridiculosly priced soldering iron + base.

Have you actually looked at it, sure it’s expensive but there’s nothing else like it.

Between the Pinecil and the TS100 (et al) there are plenty of products out there which are similar enough in the segment of reasonably compact, fast, feature rich soldering irons.

At that price point, perhaps. Metcal and JBC run circles around this thing every day of the week, though.

their biz is affiliate marketing. so yea, paid for, effectively.

Maybe for some, but you can't say all of them are paid for. And even with those, that does not render them not useful.
