Same here, and it's still there. I can't smell or taste a random set of stuff, like cinnamon, poop/farts. What annoys me most is that female genitalia just taste like nothing, literally...

In addition to this, I sometimes smell scents that do not exist.

Kicks all these fart apps to a new dimension

I hope beeper will continue to work, as it's based on Matrix iirc.

Street view would be nice.

How do you identify them?

usually (no offense to yours) the join date and if they are making simple/ragebait comments I would presume. Didn't even cross my mind we'd have AI commenters here as the ones I've seen on Twitter are more egregious with comments that seemingly have de-formatted headings like "I'm unsure of the future of $THING [...] the takeaway:" no human I know says "the takeaway" in a 3 sentence long post

I have had people in the past accuse my comments of coming from AI. I get the impression that many of those accusers make such claims only when they encounter a challenge to a position they agree with and simultaneously lack the ability to write a more qualified defense.

I've taken to calling this the ad machina fallacy.

PL/SQL, then Java.

I had mine measured a few years ago. I had given some headphones in a quiet room, with a low frequency sinus wave on it. Whenever I said I could hear the tone clearly, they increased the frequency. At one point, the tone blends with my tinnitus tone, that's the whole magic. They then measure the current volume in dB, just by increasing/decreasing the tone's volume.

I'm on 12kHz, vacuum cleaner level.

> This logic is flawed: historically, we've seen malware slip through the Play Store—signed and “verified”—several times.

Yeah, check for all the fake sora apps in the play store.

This is a weak argument. If things have slipped through the cracks with someone actively reviewing it, the alternative cant be 'lets not do any checking whatsoever'.

There are better arguments against this that other commenters here have provided (including "my device, my rule") but this isnt a strong argument.

That's the thing, they don't review their apps, and they actively ignore people flagging apps that are scams or otherwise malicious. Much like their ad empire, its all bots and people making money for pretending to care.

The number of malicious apps that Google has removed from the Play Store is far from zero.

It is false to say they are great at it. It's also false to say they don't review it. They remove some, but they're not great at it.

Even worse, they DO review their apps. And they make huge hassles for anyone to submit apps, including forcing you to create a new account if your tiny side project with 0 permissions didn't fill out a form in time (grumble grumble).

Meanwhile they let shit like this go live

It's not "let's not do any checking whatsoever", it's just "let individual users choose between Google's ineffective checking and alternative app sources that users can trust or not trust with zero involvement from Google".

This.

That would make sense except they aren't doing any app reviews lol. They're just scanning your government ID. It is a farce.

That's the debris toggle, I guess

No, unfortunately I don't think so. Startlinks are there even when you "disable debris".
