These artists who do work for tech companies are literally given a day to do this work. Of course they are using AI. They have to. The days of having time to make something great are mostly over.

Such times never existed, you just failed to notice. Flat design took over not because it was pretty, but because it was cheap and versatile. That's why I love the furry community - you can see those people value art as a goal itself, rather than a mean to achieve other (often monetary) goals.

AI is essentially austerity. The entire culture is about to become McDonalds.

Truth. It's a hard pill to swallow. But this is the reality. It's irrelevant if it has our approval or not.

They should instead recognize free software.

Does anyone really read any of this stuff anyway?

I take great pride in my role as a user of HN. This includes never reading the article and always positing very opinionated tasks without qualification.

Throttles are so lame. They make these things motorcycles that pretend to be bicycles ridden at 20+ mph in bike lanes by people who mostly haven’t ridden anything at all for 20 years so they lack the knowledge of etiquette and bicycle handling skills putting a bunch of us a risk IMO.

I love Zulip. We used it before our small firm was purchased by a large company that moved us to teams. Great software!

Join us now and share the software. You’ll be free.

Can’t they use their AI to rewrite the entire thing to be faster?

Does this matter? Aren’t we like a year from AGI? /s

This would be quite useful for taking out people who use Bluetooth speakers on hiking trails :)

So will this end up destroying public transit for them to eventually 6x the price?

Public transit is a joke in marginally services areas anyway. Wherever public transit is already working well it will likely continue to do well. Competition is good, and if your life depends on subsidized transit, well, yeah you might end up bearing more of the cost. I don't personally see a problem with that.

Business doesn't actually work like that
