Similar feelings and situation. The past two years have been very though. I think I might have learned something from it: stay calm, step by step, tomorrow will be better. Very simplistic, almost cliché but for the first time in my life I feel no stress anymore..Have I become apathic?

13 months, after 3 months in my finally new found job, theyre gonna downsize. I gave up my house, spend my savings, these will be interesting times!

Wait no IPV6 sequence? There was a dude at the 2016(?) Internet Yami Ichi Tokyo selling IPV6 numbered rocks but sadly cant find the link anymore.

Mayhe it is in here somewhere: https://yami-ichi.download/

100k Not sure. Good question! 100 is easy, in NL you can just grab boxes of them at certain phone shops, Lebara etc. These are free and anonymous. Sometimes they will stop you and say: these are only for clients, other times they are happy if you take the whole box of 100pcs.

Crash the tower (instead of jamming it) and then put up your own fake tower?

It's wireless comms, can't anyone with a radio tune in? The problem is capturing all channels which can be accomplished with lots of radios

How are cell signals different from any other radio comms?

The problem is that it's all encrypted.

Yes I know. I assume a state actor could still use it if not decrypt it.

The gear for those interested seems to be this: https://ejointech.shop/products/ejointech-4g-16-port-gsm-voi...

Looks like those bulk sms ‘gateway’ boxes sold on Ali etc: https://ejointech.shop/products/ejointech-4g-16-port-gsm-voi...

It is interesting, my EU iPhone can use Chinese eSims unrestricted in Mainland (via trip.com), advertised as HK/Macao/Mainland travel eSims. As other have said, iPhones for the Chinese market can not. So the phone smuggling is still big business. Also, there is a quota on the amount of sims given out each month, but dont er quote me on that (at least that was the case with physical HK/Mainland sims sold in HK Shamshuipo etc).

I remember the old macbook pro chargers, they and the cable would get so hot it melted the insulation of the cable (over time). Not to mention the self-desoldering GPU’s inside the actual laptops.

I don't think it was heat melting the insulation, blame the TPE used reacting. Anyways thread from the last time Apple charger stuff was discussed: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28054090

Ah thats interesting! The self desoldering gpu’s was also an issue with compliance, switching from leaded to lead free solder iirc.

I had 2 cables that melted like this. I eventually bought the newer version with a different insulator. Used with the same charger and same laptop, but no melting.

Cannot seem to find any image of what the insides look like, is that a deliberate choice?
