Long Game | https://www.longgame.co | Full-stack engineers | ONSITE | SF

We are building an app that uses short term incentives (similar to the lottery) to get people to save for their future. In other words, seeking to redirect an $80B rev stream that's wasted on the lottery into transparent financial assets.

We are looking for talented engineers to join our team. These are high-impact, high-ownership positions for someone wanting to solve a huge societal problem using engaging games of chance.

We have a small, high-performing, practical, user-focused eng team. Great alignment and a collaborative culture.

Stack: NodeJS, React Native

To apply, please email [email protected] and include your CV and a link to your website/github/etc. Feel free to include any additional details.

Sounds awesome, is there a way to get access to the beta?

That's exactly what happened to me. I was stuck in embedded systems world right out of college and then one day took interview with Google, they were asking me questions clearly looking to hear "MVC" in my answer but I just didn't know it back then...

http://sportradar.us/ they are not cheap though

OH hai! Maybe this is it. Checking it out

Edit: no gambling data. Maybe that's ok, but I'd want that too. Still looks pretty interesting thanks!

Also, and perhaps less US focused, Opta.

Original article has a generic map without much details but does anyone have a list of specific cities or zip codes that are affected? Original article with map: https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/press-releases/toxic-chemi...

The map is almost worse than useless, and this larger, interactive one is just as bad:

http://www.ewg.org/interactive-maps/2015-teflon-chemical-har...

For example it colors my county, Alameda County, CA in red because there is some system, somewhere in the county where one of these compounds was detected. But the populous areas of the county are served by East Bay MUD, where the data indicates no detection. The actual data lies in a gigantic text file in a zip archive at https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2015-09/ucmr-3-oc...

That map is completely missing two states

Try Tokumx, it's drop-in replacement for mongodb but much much more reliable (https://www.percona.com/software/mongo-database/percona-toku...)

I'd never heard of this. Thanks so much! I've really wanted to try to set up my own Parse instance[1], but it's suicidal to use Mongo. Hopefully I can make it work with only a few changes.

remember what happened when Snapchat had Bob Marley filter?

is that why ZenPayroll re-branded to Gusto?

this is great but they are missing analytics part for bots, good addition would be Botpages Inspector https://inspector.botpages.com/signup

Agreed an analytics framework would be great. Though we might have to rethink analytics for a conversational bot. Maybe something like Avg. number of messages in a conversation before the task was completed
