IDK how to tell what brand uses what type without independent testing or taking their word for it. Several makers have come out and said needle-shaped is cheaper to buy so if a brand has 10% formulation as opposed to 1 or 3 or 5%, it is more likely to be using needle-shaped. (And there is a separate conversation to be had whether 10% is needed/ideal concentration anyway)
This is one of those times where "I bet you're fun at parties" is a perfectly justified response to the (G?)GP [1]. This story is funny, well-written, succinct. Liz would be a hit at parties. GP would not be invited again.
[1] do we prepend great- when referring to parent comments more than two levels (GP) up? Or do we just say GP and rely on context?
I set a personal goal in trying to be more helpful, and after two years of effort, this is what comes out naturally. The most helpful thing that I do is probably not posting senseless things.
I do sometimes ask ChatGPT to revise my comments though (not for these two).
I find the Everdeck[0] to the the most elegant and interesting implementation of the super-deck concept. The sreator has explored and taken ideas from many other deck systems[1].
I'm a QMK user with a custom no -standard layout myself. I think you're referring to mapping keys to a given keycode as part of the firmware config. That's not inherently a problem, do it properly and it still lines up with whatever OS layout you load. If you're purposefully changing the keycodes to avoid letting the OS know the layout is different... well, you got what you explicitly configured you wanted it to behave like? Leave a layer if you expressly don't want said behavior, it's not up to the app developer to assume you meant to do otherwise.
