Ask HN: What do you use for cloud file storage?

I moved myself and my wife away from Dropbox a few years ago and bootstrapped a self-hosted Seafile instance. Over time this solution has been generally OK but lately I am more interested in spending my free time on development (or other things) instead of infrastructure. It's not that operating the Seafile instance has been burdensome (in fact it has been quite simple), but more that I want to offload the responsibility (and potential time) of the service. I had trouble with the server during an upgrade to Debian stretch last night (not even necessary, I just wanted to try it, hah) and that's what got me thinking on the topic in general.

I have evaluated other self-hosted options in the past but nothing really strikes me as worth the time now. I'm happy to pay a few bucks a month (though preferably less than $10) and want a solution that both I and my wife can use for secure ("zero knowledge") file storage and sharing and, potentially, general backup.

Do others here have similar goals? What do you use for cloud storage/backup for yourself and family?
