Drones enable perpetual war. For instance, the US has been continuously launching drone strikes against its ally pakistan since 2004. I don’t think that’s even the current longest running drone conflict, but I can’t remember which one is. Yemen is probably biggest humanitarian military disaster at the moment, but that war is only in year eight.
