I was under the impression that expressing your own views and opinions is allowed and is a natural part of any discussion. Such expressions cannot be supported with facts.
Well, we're trying for a bit better than the internet default here. The combination of unsubstantive and vehement is particularly bad in a comment, plus it leads to even worse, so we ask users not to post like that to HN.
