I took 2 semesters of Calculus in high school. It was a "requirement" to get college AP. I was convinced that I would have failed at college if I didn't take it. I have yet to use it in my career. A waste of time. A 2 semester class of drawing or Art would have been way more useful.

Most students can safely skipt calculus. A 1-day general introduction would be enough for 90%+ of college students.
90% of college students aren't stem majors and so what you're saying is almost tautology. for stem there is literally no branch that doesn't use calculus in at least some way.
