I developed an innovative routing algorithm for Automated Guided Vehicles. I know from experience that this is very valuable for companies in that space. I also know some business owners of smaller companies, and employees of bigger companies.

I have a few options here, such as selling the algorithm to 1 company (using NDA?). Or I could try to get a patent and license it. From what I read I possibly could even go for a patent in EU.

Has anyone experience with monetizing such an algorithm? Which route should I take? I have no intention of starting a company around this since I already am starting something else.
