A lot of people (who may not even be professional programmers) are using GitHub for their hobby, i.e. "for fun". I don't think this is an invalid use case.


If you write for your hobby, the writing is your hobby, not the pen.

Nobody said, "I can't wait to click on githubs buttons!"

But they might have said, "I can't wait to make this code available".


Sure, but Github is not only the pen, but also the publisher. People create things for others to use, not to be ignored
