hmm, I've run into a weird thing regarding a very specific scope in a Google API, time to look up the reference https://imgur.com/UNXa0wp
ah yes, two results, shouldn't be too hard to find what I need
https://imgur.com/0N5u7dz I click on the first link and oh shit, there is no information of value, hah that was a one-off doozy though, haha
https://imgur.com/vlmNvEJ Ok second link, of course Google is accurate on googleapis.dev becaus- oh shit, the only match for "read" when I CMD+F is "README". Ok, maybe if I go back to Google's cached results for both pages, I'll have something remotely relate- OH MY GOD THE CACHED RESULTS ARE AWFUL, NO!!!
this is why I fucking hate today's Google Search because I can't even trust what it shows anymore and I waste hours of time a day
and by the way, this is me being lucky because usually I have to peruse 10 results before I realize that the 100,000 results returned are all bullshit
Whatever organizational issues are causing Google to flub their main product, they must be far-reaching. For Google management to work up a desire to reverse course (and to execute on it) could take a decade (or maybe an eternity).
So now I use Bing and DDG.
