I 100% believe a metaverse is a large part of the future, but I desperately hope its decentralized, open source, and not controlled by Facebook.

The fact you wont need Facebook account for metaverse/oculus is a great thing.

It seem that this year's Facebook Connect is all about the Oculus/Metaverse.

The event was called Oculus Connect in the previous years, it has always been about AR/VR.
