It mentions eating a lot of fruit which I would say is controversial - normally fruit is considered a treat and veg is the main stay.

It also mentions squeezing the oranges to make juice which of course means you get the sugar with a lot less fibrous material which I imagine would cause an insulin spike.

It's difficult for me to take this paper seriously.

A lot of the advice is anecdotal based or cites bad science (The China Study).

I agree. Juice is usually a big no-no for me and fruit is something like one kiwi per day. Tons of veg for the fiber though and some lean meats.

The slower the digestion, usually the better I feel. Simple carbs just leave me feeling hungry shortly after eating, and I never drink my calories. Protein shakes are the exception to this rule

Its actually an article from 2011/2012. "Avoid meat" -> refers to "the china study" -> deeply flawed. I don't think there is scientifc consensus supporting this claim. There are actually studies which state quite the opposite.

> “drink your food” and “eat your drinks”

what

That means chew your food thoroughly so that it becomes almost liquid and you “drink” it. Also, don’t gulp your drinks down quickly. Drink slowly, as if you are chewing each sip.

Ooh, that's solid advice. I've always been chewing my smoothies instinctually, even thoroughly blended.
