This article and others like it make me realize how easy disinformation is. I know nothing about virology and when I read about the lab leak theory I think it’s plausible and worth investigating. Then when I read this article I think the lab leak theory sounds like a conspiracy theory. In areas that I have very little knowledge I can be easily convinced about something.

You can filter out a lot of bullshit by looking for the amount of conjecture in a given argument.

“I’m just asking questions” and “to remain neutral, I’ll be showing both sides”, are, sadly, two pervasive red flags in modern media.
