First of all this is just not true. Fundamentally you use a computer because it is fast and remembers things accurately.

Secondly I think generally we're at a point where just removing/avoiding crap and starting things from scratch is more economic, sometimes even regardless of performance. And factoring in it in I think it might become a major selling point even in feature competitive areas that are occupied by gigantic firms.
