NOTE: The original article title, Florida Parents Partner with IJ to Shut Down Dystopian “Predictive Policing” Program is too long to submit. I took a substring, please adjust as appropriate.

The lawsuit survived the Sheriff's motion to dismiss last August. It looks like the court is now considering motions for summary judgment from each side (the plaintiffs' motion is here: https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/59720358/160/taylor-v-n...).

Excerpt: "In addition, four days after Christmas in 2017, members of the STAR team came to Tammy’s home to check on Donnie [her son who was on the 'prolific offender' list]; after one of the deputies looked over the fence and claimed to see people in the backyard with marijuana, the deputies arrested Donnie for violating his probation (even though he was not in the backyard). Nobody else was arrested, and no drugs were seized. On body camera, deputies discuss their plans to 'stir something up with this' and characterize the allegations as 'police talk for they’re all a bunch of f—ing a—holes.' Ex. 5 at 18:28, 19:30 (profanity omitted)."
