I wish i could upvote you a thousand times. The path to a good career is focusing on the right stuff and digging deep. Think about where you work and what the most important products are at your company and what skills you need to become a valuable contributor there and move in that direction even if you are very far away from there currently. If you have 0 interest in the most valuable products at your company and you still want a good career, then move to a different company.
