Home Assistant is the most important service that I host myself. With this comes a slew of other services that make HASS as cloud-free as possible (Zigbee2MQTT, ZWaveJS2MQTT etc). After that it's a mix of testing containers and VMs on Proxmox, some of which help me learn new things or procure select media formats. I avoid hosting things that are unnecessary to host just for the sake of hosting, like the popular Vaultwardenor Nextcloud. I also have a personal Plex server that's just for the local network.
