We Shouldn’t Compare Transracial to Transgender Identity (bostonreview.net)

Why not? Because some article said so?

‘We can’t treat vast swathes of people as multigenerational collectives of societal guilt if individuals can just switch teams!’

No shit.

Transgender identities rely on society simply believing that they exist, as there is no scientific proof of someone being ‘transgender’. The same goes to transracial and transspecies. We’re supposed to just be nice and accept everything everyone says and never assume ulterior motives, mental illness, or just plain falsehoods.

The major mental illness throughout the ages has been religion. Hearing the voices, seeing the visions, etc. It's clearly schizotypal behavior at the minimum. Transgender folks have no negative effect on culture where as religion is a net negative.
