One must be very naīve to think that a corporate entity would provide "free speech" even if they thought it is counter to their corporate interests. Very naīve indeed.

Public shaming also doesn't help; it tells more about you than the company you think you're shaming.

I'll go further. People who think someone like an Elon Musk is the savior of free speech are being hoodwinked too, and they will find it out at some point. It is narrative all the way down.

It's quite clear that Elon's free speech reasoning for buying Twitter is just a smoke screen to promote his views of the world.

It has nothing to do with actual free speech.
