High salaries in tech are over forever (businessinsider.com)

This is a garbage/sensationalist/click bait article. They source blind conversations.

Like almost everything on BI it seems.

It's just an awful, spammy clickbait-y site, all the way down. Almost by definition in violation of HN guidelines.

I was surprised to learn the revenue per employee figure for big tech (2022):

* Microsoft: $897,300

* Google: $1,470,000

* Amazon: $333,500

* Facebook: $1,348,000

* Apple: $2,404,000

High salaries may be over, but strangely enough, profits will continue to increase.

The amount you make for your employer is the “cap” you can be paid.

What you are actually paid is based on the difficulty in replacing you. If you want higher wages then find a way to make more tech companies.

Opinion: click bait and paywalled contents should be banned from HN.
