What mysterious stuff might Bard be doing that Google fears GDPR so much to skip a whole continent where even ChatGPT is mostly available? Any reasons other than GDPR for Google not to distribute Bard in Europe despite OpenAI and Microsoft breathing down its neck?

Google has already been prosecuted successfully many times in the EU and has more to lose than OpenAI. Also there's no reason to think getting a product everywhere now is that big of an advantage in the future.

Not being able to offer Bard in their national language seems less of a conspiracy theory. I think most EU countries would be offended.
