There are many choices we have made that wouldn't make sense on desktop class cpu... 5 orders of magnitude of difference in RAM size is somewhat significant in design choices :)

Hey, desktop apps that embed JavaScript engines would also love to get an option 5 orders of magnitude less memory intensive :)
Even ES5 (the rest can be polyfilled).
