Byte magazine is the best.

I only half jokingly say everything I know about computers I learned from reading Byte around 1985-1990.



I have my stack of Byte magazines still, but I much prefer going back through the Dr. Dobb's Journal of Computer Calisthenics & Orthodontia (1977-) pile.

Is there a way to do a text search on those magazines?


I think there are searchable .pdf's on archive, and OCR dumps (which aren't completely accurate but butter than nuthting)


They are OCR-ed. In the web viewer click on the magnifier icon on the left toolbar, or you can download them in PDF, EPUB or other formats.
