Expo is very fast and has simple apis for you to work access cross platform native functionality.

Back in the day there were lots of 3rd party rn packages that didn’t work with expo but that is no longer the case

The Expo team has done fantastic work to make building react native apps easy and flexible. Nothing but good things to say about their current direction and approach.
