I mean, it's no Pen Island.

https://penisland.net/

Ahhh... straight from 'funny things I was linked in 2006' and glad to see the legend yet lives!

Immediately reminds me of the Private Eye "Me and My Spoon" column which celebrates the wisdom and insight of celebrities through the medium of this particular type of cutlery.

This is exactly the type of website I collect for https://Cloudhiker.net, great find!

These used to line a shelf inside a glass cabinet at my grandparents' house. I haven't seen many since. The souvenir spoon collector is a dying breed.

I have a neighbor that buys spoon collections at estate sales any chance he gets.

They're cheap and they're almost always Sterling silver.

My mom collected these when I was growing up. Thanks for sharing, I think she'll get a kick out of this

I didn't know souvenir spoon is a thing

They... have a lot of spoons to give, eh?

Spoon… of… the week!!

This is how the Internet was before 2000. I miss the eclecticism, its authenticity.

If you'll pardon the self-promotion I've a compilation of websites that preserve the same spirit here: https://wmw.thran.uk

It seems to be a good day for oldschool websites on HN, see also https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37304789
