I’ve noticed Americans tend to think of laws in terms of… computer code, almost, which isn’t true even for America.

But in that view, the fine is whatever size it is and if it isn’t enough, too bad.

…that isn’t how Europe works.



American nerds tend to think of laws as computer code, which is an oversimplification of a field that we don't understand (but arrogantly thing we do.)
