I'd be interested to hear these horror stories about Msft (are they from the modern era? 2010s? 2020s?). On my old team there, I really liked our build system (Azure Devops/Azure Repos, basically all-in-one tool from issue tracking to Git to CI/CD deploying to Azure....


The horror story I used to hear was from the pre-cloud era-- when you set up a new computer to build, you'd need to wait a day while the initial pull & build finished before you could really do anything.

I believe it's called Ohome and is an ancient tool still used in Windows/office org
