There is a solid reason that many of us older pilots do not have much great faith in 'glass cockpits'. We know that instruments can become faulty. But many of the most important instruments in the 'older cockpits' are not dependent on on having any electricity*. No instruments, no plane!

* Important instruments that didn't need electricity: airspeed-indicator, altimeter, turn-and-bank indicator, magnetic compass. You can fly a plane anywhere using only these. The aviation pioneers did exactly that.
