I've banned this account for inundating the thread with off-topic comments. Please don't do that again.

I assume your intentions are good but this is not helping; it's against the rules at the top of the thread, and you even crossed into harassing in places. Not cool.

We detached this subthread from https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39895325.

Hey there, reason for the new account is that I'm their newest Sr. Technical Recruiter, having joined earlier this year.

As for the ghosting, I can't speak to what might or might not have happened in the past, but anyone that applies to any of our posts will know the disposition of that application, even if it's that we can't move forward at that time.

And for average tenure, I would offer that it has far more to do with how quickly we're growing due to market demand than due to churn, as everything I can see systems-wise shows a pretty stellar retention rate.

You did nothing wrong by creating a new account. Also, on HN it's much better to have an account that represents you as an individual, not a company, so your instinct was correct in that way too.

Thank you for the clarification, I figured it would be more transparent to be identifiable on public locations like LI vs a generic Company account.

Congratulations and good luck!

May I suggest creating a "smarterdx" or "smarterdxjobs" account on HN that's not tied to a specific individual? Then when you get fired in a few months, we don't have to repeat these same conversations with stacey_sdx in July 2024 or arthur_sdx in February 2025. Here are some examples of companies with accounts that post jobs:

https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=enthoughtjobs https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=Fleetio https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=powertoolstech https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=vannevarlabs

This makes it really easy for candidates to see the hiring needs of the company over time and how they engage with the candidates and HN community. Previous posts under a different account has had extremely meaningful conversations that are insightful to candidates and HN community in general.

I am sure you reference check your candidates - afford us the same courtesy by not bouncing between various accounts.

Love the username, will make it easier to see WhosGhostin

I hope this isn't something I have to do on a regular basis though. I also hope this is actually helpful to candidates and not distracting (in which case I will stop)

Again - to all candidates, keep it up - you got this!
