I remember original Foresters were based on sedan chassis so had pretty snappy handling for SUV but dunno about newer ones.

All newer Subaru models now share a modular platform -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Global_Platform
- except for the BRZ which is on Toyota’s analog. But yeah originally Forester was based on the Impreza.
