I'm happy to answer any questions folks have about the new product and modules.

Either I'm going crazy or there's bug in the configuration wizard - I'm selecting 64GB of memory with Ultra 7 165H CPU DIY, but when I add it to the bag it says just 16GB.

Thanks for reporting this. The team is able to reproduce this and is working on fixing it now.

I just got a Framework 16 laptop and can't get it set up because it gives an error that the input module connector board is not detected. I already opened a ticket with support but haven't yet heard back.

The face plate for the touchpad isn't flush with the faceplate with the side panels, which is sort of annoying. It could be resolved by having the touchpad panel the full width of the laptop instead of having spacers. Will there be an option to do that in the future?

Our support team is usually able to respond within 24 hours on weekdays, but if you haven't received a reply in longer than that, check if the response went to spam. Please also let them know about the touchpad.

Could you share video samples from the new webcam?

We have a blog post coming up where we'll share more about the webcam and some captures from it.

Is the grey-to-grey response time information available? If not would it be possible to share the panel's serial code?

10% to 90% + 90% to 10% is 12ms.

The sum of the times is 12ms?

Yes, for whatever reason, the display industry has standardized on specifying rise+fall.

I don't have any questions but I do think it looks great and that Framework is doing interesting and important work.

It's amazing that you've been able to ride on the coattails of another manufacturer's tooling investment in the panels.

Can you share the data sheet for this new panel? The previous matte panel has a very bright minimum brightness of 21 nits. What is the minimum brightness of this new panel?

This is what almost everyone does for one part or another. Companies are just usually not so transparent about it.

Hello, what kind of RAM is supported for the Intel configuration?

I have a 32GB DDR4 SO DIMM 2400MHz sitting around, can I repurpose it for a new Framework config (and spare the corresponding 180€)?

Intel Core Ultra only supports DDR5 unfortunately. 13th gen is the last generation that supported DDR4 (14th on desktop).

Thank you for the answer!

The limited range of compatibility of RAM components makes me wonder if the promise of upgradeability actually delivers

For those happy to do the tinkering, will you make the `super` key individually available, rather than needing to buy the full keyboard?

Does it support HDR/Dolby Vision?

The Surface Pro 8/9 that this seems to be based on says it supports Dolby Vision.

Will you offer some kind of (optional) case+adapter to make an older webcam usable as a usb-camera?

No questions, just thank you.

Any word on expected battery life this time around?
