I'm going to go out on a limb and defend Hyundai a little here. A parent lied about their child and submitted false paperwork to a staffing company. That staffing company then lied again and sent the person to work at a supplier. And none of the 100 or so employees saw fit to contact anyone.

Hyundai was the only organization that was not party to this chain of failures so it does seem weird that they are on the hook.


Would it be fair to say it is Alabama and they have been consistent in removing protections for child labor? Should we expect companies to do more stringent when the government is trying to do undo the labor standards?
