Why does everyone need to live a rural area with access to a gun range? Vice versa just because we build more walkable infrastructure doesn’t mean literally everyone everywhere is suddenly walking 15 minutes to work.

Most people doesn't live in such rural area anyway. Machining can be done at a makerspace or you could rent space for your workshop.
