Elon Musk's X is losing users in the U.S., UK, and EU. X's own data proves it (mashable.com)

Doesn't matter. His goal was not to make a hyper profitable company. But to spend 40 billion to create the perfect propaganda network which he used to get himself as close to the US presidency as possible due to him not being a natural born citizen.

Do you really think he planned that? This is just another case of dumb luck of him failing upwards. At least for now until Trump gets sick of him.

I believe his dream is to actually become something like an oligarch, the Russian model. Dude‘s a diva and his lust for attention and praise is immense. It’s very scary that such unstable person has an office position and an actual say in US politics and even war.

Edit: grammar

Are we sure these are not bots that got banned? A lot of bots on X.

Unlikely.

As someone in the UK people don't refer to Twitter as something they use anymore. Its just generally the butt of a joke.

If you look at news sites such as the BBC, they used to link to it but its just generally not something I see anymore.

It's similar in my part of the US. Few people use it anymore. The days when you could reasonably assume someone pays attention to Twitter are long gone.

I‘m on bluesky and the new users explosion is real. The thing got more active in 2 days than in an year.

if anything, the user number may be inflated by the bots..

X is going to go the way of Digg.

Why is this post being downvotted? it is a fair question

His role is to fail and obsfucate.

Press X to doubt (pun not intended).

App charts consistently rank X as #1 in News, something that was not the case before.

I just checked. In my EU country X is ranked #35 overall, well behind Telegram (#4), Threads (#8) and Facebook (#21). X does not appear in the list of News apps.

Rank 146 where I am (with an iPad, checking the App Store charts)

I mean, if you're a _social network_, then, "ooh, we're beating the newspaper's app in downloads" is probably not where you want to be; that's really a bit of a consolation prize.
