BI was founded by convicted fraudster Henry Blodget and owned by the lowest of the low EU publishing houses Axel Springer. I give this publication zero merit.
This is a good point. Why would someone even notice people burning to death in cars let alone keep track how many people burn to death in their cars? Counting people that burn to death in their cars must be motivated by politics
From the article, 35 from AP, so presumably 60 from just “fire”.
The article also seems to conflate FSD and AP — very different functions.
As a side note, I don’t know what Tesla did with the October/November FSD update (12.5). I used the 12.3 in the public test beta, and it did really well on a couple of trips (just as it had in previous open betas). Updated to 12.5 overnight, and it was complete trash — so bad that I had to turn it off. The only usable part was basically on the highway — the AP functions.
I hope that the product was in some sort of learning phase and will improve over time, but it went from “this is quite usable for me” to “omfg no” literally overnight.
If I built a teleporter that killed passengers and bystanders as often as cars, it would be banned in weeks. 43 thousand people a year. Oh yeah, step into this booth, only 120 people died today! It's great!
